Otis College of Art and Design은 산타모니카 부두 바로 북쪽에서 제7회 연례 오티스 연 축제를 개최합니다. 이 축제는 로스앤젤레스와 산타모니카 전역에서 어린이들을 섬기는 데 초점을 맞춘 멋진 가족 행사로 발전했습니다. 참석하는 모든 어린이는 색상 이론 미술 수업이 포함된 자신만의 DIY 연 키트를 받습니다. 연을 만드는 것은 어린이를 위한 커뮤니티 예술 경험일 뿐만 아니라 STEAM 교육과도 관련이 있습니다. 이 행사는 젊은이와 마음이 젊은 사람 모두에게 풍성하고 재미있는 날이 됩니다!
매년 Otis는 산타 모니카 위의 하늘에 "갤러리"를 만들어 자신의 작품을 선보이는 지역 및 글로벌 연 예술가를 초대합니다. 올해 우리는 Otis Colleges Kite Festival의 영감을 준 "현대 연 만들기의 아버지"로 여겨지는 Tom Van Sant를 기릴 것입니다.
축제는 메트로 엑스포 라인(Metro Expo Line)과 빅 블루 버스(Big Blue Bus)에서 이용할 수 있으며 주차는 산타모니카 부두 주차장에서 $12-$15의 요금으로 이용할 수 있습니다.
